Golden Crane Statue situated right in the center of the open plaza

Upon entering, you will be attracted by this magnificent structure of the golden crane statue, which sits right in the center of the open plaza of the building.  The crane is a spectacular sight as it is a freestanding sculpture which in comparison, having a relatively similar height with the nearby decoration trees.

Lines

The crane was seen to have multiple curvaceous lines to construct the form of the crane. But on the other hand, the texture was kept at minimal which result in a smoother outlook, bringing out an overall reflective appearance.

Colour

The crane has a sleek body structure with wide spreading wings, coated with glimmering gold colour against the dark towering building, such visual contrast between the colours of these two elements had accentuate the statue of the crane.

Shape
The pedestal below the crane curve in upright manner, which not only support the weight of the crane, it also has a shape that follows the direction where the crane extends. The crane might resemble similar reference as the compass arrow; which points towards the unknown direction that poses inconclusive answer. The pedestal was engraved with a Chinese poem, which depicts the homesickness of the owner as it was said to be pointing towards the direction of its temple (a place of worship in Hubei, China) and eager to fly the thousands of miles back.

Space

The public would tend to view the statue from a distance; this magnificent statue would influence others to have an imaginative view, as if the crane is suspending itself in the midst of the space. Aside from viewing it from a distance, we can also admire the statue at close proximity by walking around it or at worm eye view. Because it is entirely surrounded by the space of the plaza, this piece of artwork can be referred as statute in the round.
